Preserving Kenya’s indigenous forests is vital for biodiversity and climate stability. ACEECA leads campaigns to protect and restore forested areas, emphasizing the importance of indigenous tree species for maintaining ecological balance. Our forest conservation efforts aim to prevent deforestation and promote the sustainable management of natural resources.
Organic energy, including biogas and other eco-friendly fuel alternatives, is central to ACEECA’s clean energy agenda. We support projects that encourage the adoption of organic energy, which not only provides a cleaner environment but also helps communities adapt to the impacts of climate change by reducing dependency on non-renewable energy sources.
As Kenya faces growing energy demands, ACEECA advocates for the use of renewable energy sources, including solar and wind power. Through policy lobbying and public education, we promote clean energy as a viable and sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. Our goal is to reduce carbon emissions and support Kenya’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
We encourage the planting of indigenous trees, particularly bamboo, along riverbanks and in water catchment areas to reduce soil erosion, increase water retention, and combat deforestation. By enhancing natural vegetation cover, we contribute to the preservation of Kenya’s ecosystems and biodiversity.
