The Africa Centre for Environment, Energy & Climate Advocacy (ACEECA) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established to champion environmental conservation, sustainable energy, and climate change resilience across Kenya. Registered under the Non-Governmental Organization Co-ordination Act of 1990, ACEECA is driven by a singular purpose: to inspire and enact meaningful change that fosters a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient Kenya. With a firm commitment to sustainable development, ACEECA works tirelessly to ensure that her initiatives and advocacy efforts make a lasting impact on communities, ecosystems, and future generations.

ACEECA’s Approach to Building a Sustainable Kenya

   Raising public consciousness is central to ACEECA’s mission. Through campaigns, workshops, and seminars, ACEECA educate communities on critical environmental issues and promote responsible practices. ACEECA empowers communities by delivering valuable information that inspires eco-friendly behaviors, making a positive impact on her shared natural environment.
2. Policy Action & Lobbying
   ACEECA works closely with policymakers, environmental organizations, and other stakeholders to influence legislation and policies that support sustainable environmental practices. By advocating for cleaner energy solutions and stronger conservation measures, ACEECA aims to create a lasting regulatory frameworks that protect Kenya’s ecosystems and natural resources.

ACEECA Footprints

ACEECA has an active presence in several Kenyan counties, including Nairobi, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, and Taita Taveta. These counties serve as focal points for her community-driven projects and research initiatives. Besides, ACEECA work hand-in-hand with local stakeholders to address unique environmental challenges, build climate resilience, and encourage sustainable practices at the grassroots level.

• Primary Goal: To promote the use of clean energy, environmental conservation, and research-driven activities aimed at combating climate change.
• Specific Objectives:
  1. Conduct comprehensive research on the environmental impacts of climate change, providing data to drive effective solutions.
  2. Foster a clean environment through targeted education, awareness campaigns, and research initiatives.
  3. Encourage the planting of trees, especially bamboo, in water catchment areas and along riverbanks to enhance natural resources.
  4. Run policy advocacy initiatives that promote clean energy and support environmental protection.
  5. Advocate for organic energy solutions as an adaptive measure to combat climate change.
  6. Support the conservation and planting of indigenous trees and forests to create a sustainable and clean environment for future generations.
