African Centre For Environment, Energy and Climate Advocacy
Registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act of 1990, ACEECA works to strengthen sustainable development pathways in climate-vulnerable rural communities, with a deliberate focus on children, youth, women, and Persons Abled Differently.
Kenya faces escalating climate risks, including land degradation, water scarcity, biodiversity loss, and rising energy demand. These challenges disproportionately affect vulnerable populations.
ACEECA responds by:
Our Programmes are anchored on four integrated Strategic Pillars:
Ecosystem restoration, wetland conservation, indigenous tree and bamboo landscape rehabilitation.
Climate-smart agriculture, emissions reduction, adaptation planning, and resilient value chains.
Clean cooking technologies, decentralized solar access, and renewable energy enterprises.
Inclusive climate education, policy engagement, and evidence-based advocacy.
Across all programmes, ACEECA integrates three core principles:
Leveraging digital platforms and climate data systems to enhance programme delivery.
Ensuring leadership of women, youth, and Persons Abled Differently in climate action.
Strengthening locally led environmental stewardship through participatory structures.
ACEECA maintains an active presence in Nairobi, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, and Taita Taveta.
