African Centre For Environment, Energy and Climate Advocacy
Project Name: Climate Change Adaptation & Resilience Building (CCARB) Project
Implementing Organization: African Centre for Environment, Energy & Climate Advocacy (ACEECA)
Location: Kenya (Initially targeting arid and semi-arid regions)
Target Beneficiaries: Smallholder farmers, pastoralists, women & youth groups, and vulnerable communities
Kenya faces increasing climate shocks, including prolonged droughts, erratic rainfall, and extreme temperatures, which threaten food security and livelihoods—especially in arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs). The Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Building (CCARB) project seeks to empower vulnerable communities with locally led, sustainable solutions to adapt to climate change while enhancing long-term resilience.
This project aligns with Kenya’s National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and the Global Resilience Partnership.
