Informed Action for a Sustainable Kenya

Advancing Environmental Conservation, Clean Energy, and Climate Resilience

Registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act of 1990, ACEECA works to strengthen sustainable development pathways in climate-vulnerable rural communities, with a deliberate focus on children, youth, women, and Persons Abled Differently.

Our Mandate

Kenya faces escalating climate risks, including land degradation, water scarcity, biodiversity loss, and rising energy demand. These challenges disproportionately affect vulnerable populations.

ACEECA responds by:

  • Restoring ecosystems and strengthening biodiversity conservation
  • Promoting climate-resilient agriculture and sustainable land management
  • Expanding access to clean and affordable renewable energy solutions
  • Advancing inclusive climate governance and policy engagement
  • Generating research-driven insights to inform evidence-based decision-making

Our Strategic Framework

Our Programmes are anchored on four integrated Strategic Pillars:

Environmental Protection

Ecosystem restoration, wetland conservation, indigenous tree and bamboo landscape rehabilitation.

Climate Action

Climate-smart agriculture, emissions reduction, adaptation planning, and resilient value chains.

Clean Energy & Low-Carbon Solutions

Clean cooking technologies, decentralized solar access, and renewable energy enterprises.

Climate Advocacy & Governance

Inclusive climate education, policy engagement, and evidence-based advocacy.

Cross-Cutting Principles

Across all programmes, ACEECA integrates three core principles:
