Dr. Mutwiri holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Kenyatta University, a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). His multidisciplinary background enables him to integrate financial expertise with legal and governance perspectives to strengthen organizational accountability and impact.

Throughout his career, he has served in senior leadership, consultancy, and academic roles, including Finance Manager, Internal Auditor, University Lecturer, Managing Partner of a legal consultancy firm, and Lead Consultant for national and international organizations. As the Head of Enterprise Development and Livelihoods at the African Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Advocacy (ACEECA), she leads the design and implementation of inclusive livelihood programmes that empower communities through entrepreneurship, sustainable enterprise development, and economic resilience.

She holds a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nairobi. She currently serves as the Dean of the Business School at Kenya Methodist University (KeMU), where she has provided strategic academic leadership, curriculum development, research supervision, and institutional governance.

As the Head of Renewable Energy, Research and Innovation at the African Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Advocacy (ACEECA), he leads the Centre's research agenda, drives innovation, and advances the development of sustainable renewable energy solutions that support climate resilience and green economic transformation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where his research focused on organic and perovskite solar cells, nanomaterials, and computational modelling for next-generation solar energy technologies. He also completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Fort Hare and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, specializing in perovskite solar cells, electrochemical sensors, and advanced functional materials. Dr. Rono is currently a Senior Lecturer and Researcher and is recognized as a Y2-rated researcher by South Africa's National Research Foundation (NRF).

He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Entrepreneurship at UNICAF University and holds a Master of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from Mount Kenya University, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. As the Communication and ICT Specialist at the African Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Advocacy (ACEECA), he leads the organization's strategic communications, digital transformation initiatives, ICT systems, and knowledge management to strengthen public engagement, institutional visibility, and organizational effectiveness.

He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), building on a strong academic foundation that includes a Master of Science in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Public Relations from Moi University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from KCA University, a Diploma in Entrepreneurship, and professional certifications in Digital Marketing, Virtual Assistance, and Training of Trainers (ToT). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Diploma in Business Administration from Mount Kenya University. Her strong academic background, combined with extensive practical experience in finance and administration, has equipped her with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, donor fund administration, compliance, and organizational coordination.

At ACEECA, Doreen supports the management of project finances, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll administration, donor compliance, procurement processes, and financial record management. She also serves as the organization's secretary, providing administrative support to management, coordinating meetings, maintaining official records, and ensuring smooth communication and governance processes across the organization.

Before joining ACEECA, Doreen built a distinguished career at Yetu Sacco Society Ltd, where she served as a Relationship Officer and Credit Officer for over a decade. During this period, she managed credit portfolios, treasury operations, customer relationships, branch operations, business development, and financial reporting while maintaining strong regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Earlier in her career, she served as a Teller and Microfinance Officer, supporting financial inclusion initiatives and empowering small-scale entrepreneurs through financial advisory and access to credit services.
